Last night, on October 31 it was celebrated Halloween, an
ancient holiday originated with Celts 2,000 years ago in what is now Ireland,
the UK, and parts of Northern France. This holiday has been expanded in several
countries around the world, specially in United States. This country spends $6
million every year on the night of Halloween. It is a holiday that
consists on dressing with scary costumes and going from house to house to ask
for candy or money with the phrase "Trick or treat!". People who refuse
to give anything would sometimes find chalk drawings on their doors the next
morning or find they were the victims of other pranks. This activity is more
typical in children. Jack-o-lanters are famous too in this holiday, which
are pumpkins with a face cut into one side. Moreover, that night
people do very funny parties with costume contests, etc. It is a unique
holiday where everybody can be have a great time.
